Our hotel's cement tile floors and permeable pavements outside are an ingenious dance that returns rainwater to the water table, cherishing every drop as a treasure. Our gray and black water treatment plants purify the vital liquid, which is then used to irrigate the tropical garden that inhabits our premises.

Furthermore, the fountain in this lovely tropical garden is home to fish and water lilies that enchant visitors while attracting birds that come daily to drink from its waters. Undoubtedly, it exemplifies how environmental sustainability can coexist perfectly with beauty.

Waste as a Resource.

Künük Hotel Boutique's environmental awareness knows no bounds. Every corner of our hotel is a beacon of recycling and reutilization. Separation of waste by type is a sacred rule, and the cardboard and glass used inside find a second purpose as raw material for a recycling cycle.

On the other hand, organic waste from our kitchen is not wasted. It is turned into compost and then used to enrich the soil that gives life to the hotel's gardens. It's a cycle of life that embodies the hotel's philosophy: nothing is wasted; everything is transformed.

The flavors and aromas of Yucatán come to life in our organic garden in Mérida, where aromatic plants breathe life into infusions and cocktails served in the bar, as well as some essential vegetables and spices used in our restaurant. Supporting Local Communities.

Künük Hotel Boutique is not only a refuge for travelers but also for local communities. The handwoven palm slippers found in our rooms and bath sponges in the showers are made by groups of Oaxacan artisans and are a symbol of support for local work. Also, the textiles used in our sheets, bathrobes, and towels are the result of work in communities in Yucatán, Oaxaca, and Chiapas.
